Pickup & Loading Disclaimer

At Signature Stone, we strive to provide a safe and efficient loading process for all customer pickups. Please review the following pickup and loading requirements before arriving to collect materials.

Pickup Hours & Check-In Deadline

Material pickups are available Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Customers must arrive and check in with the office no later than 3:30 p.m. This allows sufficient time for paperwork, invoicing, yard coordination, and loading before close of business.

Signature Stone’s office closes at 4:00 p.m. Customers arriving after 3:30 p.m. may be turned away and required to reschedule their pickup for another business day.

Customers are encouraged to arrive earlier in the day whenever possible, especially for larger orders or products that require additional loading time.

Loading Requirements

Signature Stone provides forklift loading only and does not provide handloading services.

Customers must arrive with a clean, empty, open-access trailer, flatbed trailer, or vehicle that allows safe forklift access from the side. Side-load access is required for most Signature Stone products.

Please note that some open trailers may still not be suitable for loading. Trailers with raised wheel wells/fenders, fixed side rails, enclosed walls, ramps, gates, toolboxes, equipment, debris, previous loads, loose materials, or other obstructions may prevent the forklift from safely placing material on the trailer.

Rear loading is generally not suitable for most Signature Stone products, as the forklift may not be able to safely reach, place, or position the material on the trailer. Rear loading may only be allowed if Signature Stone personnel determine it can be done safely based on the product, trailer type, weight, and loading conditions.

Customers are responsible for ensuring their truck, trailer, or equipment is properly rated for the weight of the materials being picked up. Product weights vary significantly depending on the material.

Trailer Condition

Customers must arrive with a clean, empty, and accessible trailer or truck bed that is ready to be loaded.

The trailer or truck bed must be free of tools, equipment, debris, loose materials, previous loads, or any other items that may interfere with safe forklift loading or proper material placement.

If the trailer or truck bed is not clean, empty, or safely accessible, Signature Stone may be unable to load the material. The customer may be asked to clear the trailer on site, if safe and practical, or return at a later time with suitable equipment.

Customer Responsibility

If a customer’s trailer, vehicle, or equipment cannot be safely loaded by forklift, Signature Stone will be unable to load the material in the active loading area.

In these situations, the customer is responsible for returning at a later time with appropriate side-load, forklift-accessible equipment. Any additional transportation, labor, scheduling, or delivery costs incurred as a result of arriving with unsuitable equipment are the customer’s responsibility.

Signature Stone reserves the right to refuse loading if the pickup equipment is not suitable or if loading could create a safety hazard for employees, customers, equipment, vehicles, trailers, or materials.

Handloading / Limited Yard Space

Signature Stone does not provide handloading services.

If a customer elects to handload material themselves, this must be done only in an area approved by Signature Stone personnel. Customers may not park, stage, or handload materials in active loading areas, drive lanes, forklift paths, or any area that blocks normal yard operations.

Due to limited parking and loading space, handloading may need to take place outside of the main loading area, such as approved side-street parking or another designated area. Signature Stone personnel may place the material in an approved location when possible, but customers are responsible for completing the handloading process without interrupting loading operations.

If handloading cannot be completed safely or without delaying yard operations, the customer may be required to return with appropriate forklift-accessible equipment or schedule delivery.

Securing the Load

Customers are responsible for bringing proper straps, chains, binders, or other tie-down materials needed to safely secure their load.

Signature Stone is not responsible for securing materials for transport or for any damage, shifting, loss, or issues that occur after the material has been loaded.

Safety Policy

For the safety of all parties, loading procedures are determined solely by Signature Stone personnel.

Customers must follow all yard safety rules and remain in designated areas during the loading process unless otherwise directed by staff.

Customers may not operate Signature Stone equipment or enter active loading areas without approval from Signature Stone personnel.

Acceptance of Terms

By scheduling a pickup or arriving to collect materials, customers acknowledge and accept these pickup and loading requirements.

Customers understand that Signature Stone provides forklift loading only, does not provide handloading services, and may refuse loading if the trailer, vehicle, equipment, or loading conditions are not suitable or safe.
